Banking
The Florida State University’s innovative FSUCard Program, SunTrust Bank,
and FSU Student Government have teamed up to provide the University community
with a wide variety of FREE banking services. Your FSUCard offers access to
a variety of services at ATMs and merchants. You may transfer financial aid,
pay tuition and other University related fees, pay for goods and services at
merchants both on and off campus, and even write unlimited number of checks.
All of these features are made possible with your FSUCard. If you take advantage
of any of these functions, you will receive an itemized monthly statement of
transactions providing a detailed record of deposits, withdrawals, and purchases.
Students,
faculty and staff are eligible for a FEE-FREE checking account linked with
their FSUCard. There is no minimum opening deposit required, no monthly maintenance
fee, no fee for transactions at SunTrust ATMs, no teller fees, unlimited checking
writing plus your first order of fifty checks is FREE! It is easy to use your
FSUCard as a debit card, just visit the SunTrust FSU Campus Branch or the Downtown
Branch on North Monroe Street in Tallahassee, or the 23rd Street Office in
Panama City, to choose your four-digit ATM PIN. You may then visit any SunTrust
Office in Tallahassee or Panama City to open your account and to make a deposit
of any amount. Refer to the SunTrust Personal Account Fee Schedule for information
about any fees that may be associated with some of the services offered by
SunTrust and your FSUCard Account.
Withdraw from ATMs
Without entering a bank you can make a deposit, withdraw
money, or obtain account information from Automated Teller Machines. Simply
swipe your FSUCard and enter your ATM PIN at any SunTrust ATM, or any non-SunTrust
ATM (referred to as a "foreign" ATM) wherever a InterLink or
PLUS Logo is displayed. There are approximately 1,900 SunTrust ATMs throughout
the Southeastern United States and approximately 300,000 foreign ATMs worldwide
where your card is accepted. There is no fee for transactions and withdrawals
at SunTrust ATMs. If you use a ‘foreign’ ATM (not a SunTrust ATM) there is

Make Purchases at Merchants
Use your FSUCard to purchase a variety of goods
and services at both on- and off-campus locations. Buy books, meals, supplies,
merchandise, personal computers, pay tuition and/or University related fees,
pay housing…almost anything. Your FSUCard is accepted at no charge at over
330,000 merchant locations nationwide, wherever you see the familiar FSUCard,
Plus InterLink logos. Simply swipe your card at these point-of sale terminals
and enter your ATM PIN. For a list of merchant locations in town, click here,
or, get a copy of an updated Merchants List, available at the beginning of
each semester. You'll find that no other university card is accepted at more
places!
Transfer Financial Aid
Make receiving financial aid easy by having your scholarships,
grants, and student loans, electronically transferred to your FSUCard Account.
Just check "yes" for
EFT on the Disbursement Authorization Statement, which is available on line
at HERE . See the Financial Aid Delivery page for more detailed information.
This form has to be filled out only once during your entire enrollment at FSU,
unless you choose to change your disbursement options. You can find out if
your financial aid has been delivered to your FSUCard Account by calling 1-800-SunTrust
(1-800-786-8787). To view your account information on-line, at no additional
charge, log on to www.SunTrust.com to complete the Internet Banking application,
or call 1-800-382-3232.
Payroll Deduction
Part- or full-time University employees can authorize a specific
amount to be direct deposited from their paycheck into their FSUCard account.
A convenient way to buy lunch on or off campus, make purchases at campus and
local merchants, buy groceries, and much more! Your deduction will appear in
View Paycheck page in OMNI, and will be available to you on your payday. It’s
simple to do; just add a new Direct Deposit from your paycheck to go into your
SunTrust account. Log into OMNI and go to Employee Self Service. Next, click
on Payroll and Compensation then Direct Deposit. To complete the Direct Deposit
enter your SunTrust account, routing numbers and the amount. Please allow two
weeks for the changes to take effect.
Write Checks
Pay your bills, give a gift, make purchases and more. Now you have
the flexibility to write an unlimited number of checks each month for amounts
not exceeding your available balance. Your first order of fifty checks is free.
Just one more easy way to access your money!
Make Deposits
Parents or students can make deposits at any SunTrust branch
by mail, in person, or through a wire transfer from another bank. Use the routing
number 061000104 for wire transfers and be sure to include both the student's name
and FSUCard Account number*. SunTrust refunds their incoming wire fee
of $15 for FSUCard account holders. Please notify the SunTrust FSU branch to
refund any incoming wire fees that may be assessed. Mail deposits should be
