For Microsoft Windows based computers, you must select the appropriate driver package, download and install.
When you click the link, you will be presented with three options. (figure below)
For security reasons, you may be prompted to click "run" again.
Once the installer downloads and starts, you will be presented with this screen. Click "Start" to start the installation.
When the installation has completed the "Finish" button will be available. Click it to complete the installation.
You are ready to print! Just select "Law Library Print System" as your printer when you hit print. Once you hit print, a dialog box will appear asking for your FSUID. This is the same ID that you use to access the wireless network or campus.fsu.edu. You will use that along with your password to release the print job from the Print Release Station.
Please download the files listed, and proceed to the instructions below:
First locate and install the file above labeled "Samsung Monochrome Driver Package." When downloaded, the file will extract to a folder labeled "ML-4050". Inside that folder is a file labeled "Samsung LBP Installer OSX", double-click this file to start the installation. You may be warned that this file was downloaded from the internet, click "Open" if you get this message. Next you will be required to enter in the password that you use to login to your computer. Click "Continue" when the installer starts.
The next screen you get will ask what drive you wish to install the driver to. It will default to the correct drive, just click "Continue".
On the following screen, click "Install".
Once the installation has finished, click "Quit".
If you only wish to print in black and white, you can skip the next section and continue on to the section labeled "Print System Connection Service".
First locate and install the file above labeled "Samsung Color Driver Package." The file when downloaded will extract to a folder labeled "CLP-770". Inside that folder is a file labeled "Printer Driver Installer", double-click this file to start the installation. You may be warned that this file was downloaded from the internet, click "Open" if you get this message. Next you will be required to enter in the password that you use to login to your computer. Click "Continue" when the installer starts.
On the next screen click "Install"
This installer requires all other open applications to be closed before installation, to accept and close all open applications click "Continue".
On the next screen click "OK".
Next, click "Quit" and proceed to the next section.
To install, locate the file you downloaded above and double-click it. This will mount the image and present you with a file labeled: "Popup.dmg". Double-click this file to run the installer.
Click "Continue" on the next two windows that appear.
Click "Install" to perform the installation
Enter in the password for your computer, and click "OK".
Click "Finish" That's it! You have successfully installed the necessary software to begin printing.
